The first version of proposed performance was performed during the residency showing at Dansverkstæðið in December 2023. During the performance more than expected unfolded. Being in a close contact with each other, both identifying as and being legally disabled, we challenged selves and the audience to see beyond superficial standards of beauty and predetermined modes of interaction.

Performance ‘It moves’ is a journey towards self-love and acceptance, it is a journey that extends to embracing uniqueness of other bodies and its possibilities. Boldly, we express what movement can be; for instance, Brandur primarily moves through vocal expression. Through our performance, we endeavor to break the taboos surrounding touch, intimacy, and agency—often repressed, stigmatized, or denied in the context of people with disabilities.
