Missing the Forest is one woman’s travels through the Icelandic “treeless” landscape and her journey to write a book about the Iceland Forestry Association’s award winning trees. While searching the country for the 30 Tre Arsins, Emily delves into and explores a variety of tree topics such as mythology, theology, Norse traditions, Icelandic history, ecology, status symbols, tree sex ed, and her personally selected top six trees from around Iceland—all while trying not to miss the forest for the trees.
